Nestled among the rolling countryside of Pamplie in the Deux-Sèvres, Château du Petit Brusson is a late 19th-century château inspired by Renaissance architecture. Lovingly restored by its current owners since 2022, it offers guests an authentic experience of French country living in an atmosphere of tranquillity, beauty, and understated luxury.

Rather than being built for defence, Château du Petit Brusson was created as an elegant country retreat. Commissioned by Raoul Godefroy de Ménilglaise during the late 1800s, it reflects the optimism and artistic revival of its era, blending Renaissance-inspired architecture with the comfort and sophistication of a private family residence. 

Since acquiring Château du Petit Brusson in February 2022, we have been carefully restoring and preserving its architectural character. Although the Château itself is a private residence, The Pavillon de Chasse has a key part of the restoration where the building that was once the estates hunting lodge, has now been completely transformed into 5 star luxury accommodation.

Surrounding Château du Petit Brusson is an estate shaped by the timeless character of the French countryside. Conceived in the late nineteenth century as a peaceful country retreat, the landscape was designed to offer both beauty and tranquillity, inviting moments of quiet reflection as well as grand occasions shared with family and friends.

Today, the estate retains that same sense of harmony. Mature woodland provides shade and seclusion, while sweeping grasslands open onto expansive views across the gently rolling countryside of the Deux-Sèvres. The changing seasons bring new colours and textures to the landscape, creating a setting that feels both timeless and deeply connected to nature.

The grounds surrounding the Château and the Pavillon de Chasse offer generous open spaces ideally suited to elegant outdoor gatherings. Whether hosting an intimate garden celebration, a memorable wedding ceremony, or a private reception beneath the open sky, the estate provides a naturally beautiful backdrop where French heritage and the surrounding landscape come together with effortless grace.
